History

Founded in 2007 as a single truck company with the owner, Steve Davis, as a driver in Charlotte, NC at the FedEx Ground. Pulling double trailers to all 48 states with staying on the road at times 5 to 21 days at a time. Today the company operates out of four FedEx Ground Terminals with about 50 trucks running with top-of-the-line technology.

Since its inception, Steve C. Davis, Inc. has built its reputation on providing innovative transportation solutions for our customers and strives to exceed customer expectations through safe, on-time, delivery of freight. We have always focused on doing business with successful companies and building meaningful relationships with our customers and personnel.

Steve C. Davis

Steve Davis is a 1976 graduate of N. C. State University and served two years with the Raleigh N.C. Police Department as an undercover narcotics officer. He then got into the land and timber business by shipping hardwood lumber to various customers in many different countries around the world. He used his trucking experience to begin operations with FedEx Ground in 2007. As a Contractor, Steve has won several safety awards. In 2015 he was named North Carolina’s Driver of the Year and received the prestigious Governor’s Award that same year.
